The holiday season will officially kick off this Friday evening with the Mountain Home Christmas Parade and the 6th annual First Security Bank Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Festivities around the Mountain Home town square begin at 4:30, featuring local vendors, food trucks, music by DJ Peace, and activities for children. At 5:30, the Birth of Christ will be read, followed by the tree lighting ceremony at 5:40. in Veterans Plaza, located across from the courthouse.
The Christmas parade, themed “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas”, begins at 6 p.m. The parade will follow its traditional route, starting on Hospital Drive, traveling along Arkansas Highway 5 North, and turning onto Main Street before passing the Historic Downtown Square.
