The Salem High School football team has advanced to its first state championship game in school history after making its third semifinal appearance in eight years. The Greyhounds went on the road Friday and defeated Mansfield 38-20 in the Class 3A State Playoffs, beating the team that knocked them out of the postseason a year ago. Salem improves to 11-3 on the season, and they’ll meet Bismarck for the title next Saturday at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.
