UPDATE: ASP finds missing 10-year-old girl safe

Arkansas State Police has announced 10-year-old Chevelle Cummings, who was reported missing from her home early Monday morning, has been found safe.

Authorities are searching for a 10-year-old girl reported missing and endangered from her residence east of Texarkana. Chevelle Cummings was last seen around 1 Monday morning at the residence on Dooley Ferry Road.

Cummings is described as a 5-foot-2 white female weighing 120 pounds with brown eyes and brown shoulder-length hair. According to the Arkansas State Police, she was last seen wearing a leopard print dress, black shorts and silver, black and white slip-on shoes. Cummings reportedly left the residence with a red fox stuffed animal, a maroon journal with pumpkins on it and an orange hair brush. She was also wearing a rabbit hair clip.

Anyone with information on Cummings’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Miller County Sheriff’s Office at 870-774-3001.
