Mountain Home came away with two wins as they hosted Paragould for six junior high basketball games on Monday.
The Junior Lady Bombers squeaked by the Junior Lady Rams 25-24 in the varsity girls’ game for their first win of the year. Macy Farris led Mountain Home with 18 points. The Junior Lady Bombers improve to 1-6 on the season and 1-3 in the Northeast Arkansas Conference.
Mountain Home was not as fortunate in the varsity boys’ contest as Paragould came from behind for the 41-39 win. The Junior Bombers were led by Max Bryant with 17 points. Mountain Home falls to 2-7 on the year.
Mountain Home also lost the eighth grade boys’ game to Paragould 33-21. The Eighth Grade Bombers’ record drops to 1-5.
In addition, Mountain Home fell to Paragould 24-4 in the eighth grade girls’ game. The Eighth Grade Lady Bombers are now 0-6 on the season.
Mountain Home’s other win came in the seventh grade boys’ contest. The Seventh Grade Bombers got past Paragould 28-24.
The evening began with Mountain Home’s seventh grade girls falling to Paragould 23-20. The Seventh Grade Lady Bombers are now 0-4 on the year.
