No injuries were reported in a fire in the Bakersfield school gym Tuesday morning. Students were in the gym at the time the fire broke out, but quick work by maintenance worker Jason Marsh helped keep the students safe and damage to a minimum, according to Superintendent Dr. Amy Padgett.

Padgett says the home basketball game scheduled for Tuesday night has been moved to Mountain View-Liberty. School for Wednesday will still be held. She says they have large fans set up in the gym to help get rid of the smoke and the smell.
