Basketball makes up much of the local Friday schedule, and it includes the Mountain Home High School basketball teams wrapping up their current runs in northwest Arkansas.
The Bomber boys will play their last game in the Bad Boy Mowers Cardinal Classic at Farmington. Mountain Home will be matched up with Shiloh Christian. Tip-off is scheduled for 6. Friday’s game will be broadcast on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com and the Bomber Sports Network on YouTube.
The Lady Bombers will compete in the final game of the Red Dog Invitational at Springdale. Mountain Home will face the host Lady Bulldogs with the winners taking home the championship trophy. Gametime is set for 7:30. Friday’s game can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.
The Melbourne girls will be in Jonesboro to compete in the Westside Classic. The Lady Bearkatz will be paired with Little Rock Southwest at 5.
Bergman’s girls will continue action in the Tournament of Champions at Fort Smith. The Lady Panthers meet Fort Smith Southside at 5:30.
The Harrison boys will be in Rogers for their second game of the Arvest Hoopfest. The Goblins will take on Heritage at 5:30.
Elsewhere on the high school level, Mountain Home Christian Academy’s boys will be on the road to play Arkansas Christian, Flippin hosts Yellville-Summit, the Gainesville boys travel to Ava, Lutie’s boys travel to Couch, Izard County entertains Sloan-Hendrix, Marshall makes the trip to Tuckerman, Rural Special is home against Ridgefield Christian, the Lead Hill boys host Founders Classical Academy for homecoming, Harrison’s girls entertain Clinton, Omaha heads to Kingston, and the Jasper boys are home against the School for Advanced Studies.
Mountain Home will send its three junior high boys’ teams across the state line for an outing with West Plains. The seventh grade game tips off at 4:30 followed by the eighth grade and freshman contests.
