A home health worker pled guilty Monday to charges that she had stolen credit cards from one elderly client and personal information from another that she used in an attempt to open a new credit card account.

Thirty-two-year-old Whitney Elizabeth House of Flippin was put on probation for seven years during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court.

Judge John Putman said he would accept the plea but said the punishment “seems a tad light” given the charges and the ages of the victims.

Officers reviewed surveillance camera video showing House using a credit card stolen from the elderly male client to purchase $600 worth of debit cards.

She is said to have used information taken from a female client, such as her address and social security number, to apply for a new credit card account. There was no monetary loss reported since the victim’s family discovered what had happened and canceled the application.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the application for the new card requested a credit limit of $4,000.

House’s charges included financial identify fraud on an elderly victim, exploitation of a vulnerable person and theft of property.
