CASA of North Arkansas is in need of volunteers to help abused and neglected children in the area. CASA of North Arkansas serves Baxter, Marion, Boone and Newton counties and provides trained community volunteer advocates to help play a positive role in the lives of children in the foster care system.
CASA stands for court appointed special advocates and those who volunteer are sworn in by a judge involved in the case.
Amber Richard is the Advocate Supervisor for the local CASA organization. She explains what those who volunteer to become an advocate would do.

Currently, CASA is gathering Christmas gifts for the children according to Richard.
