When 2024 comes to a close in a couple of weeks, it will finish in the top 10 among the wettest years in recorded history. Following the 0.91 inches of rain measured Monday morning at KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting station for Mountain Home, the total precipitation for the year stands at 58.87 inches.
With the recent rainfall, 2024 currently becomes the 10th-wettest year on record, passing the 58.6 inches from 1985. The wettest year in recorded history for Mountain Home is 1927 at 74.54 inches.
More rain is expected in the Twin Lakes Area in December with a chance Tuesday night.
