The Arkansas Department of Transportation’s Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) has announced award recipients for 2024 and the city of Flippin is getting money to install a sidewalk along Main Street that will meet the Americans with Disablities Act. The city was awarded $108,000 as part of an 80/20 matching grant, meaning the city will pay the other 20% of the project.

Hogan says they expect to begin the bidding process for the project in January. There is no time frame yet on when the sidewalk is expected to be completed.
