Exchange students from Poland and Spain share their experiences in Mountain Home

Over the past few years, the United States has hosted an average of more than one million international students annually. Amanda Masot from Spain, and Kalina Popiolek from Poland, were recently featured on an episode of Talk of the Town on KTLO FM 97.9 to discuss their experiences in Mountain Home and how they compare to life in their home countries.

Masot and Popiolek say they’ve had a lot more social interactions in Mountain Home than they’re used to.

Masot has been participating in basketball, where she is on the JV team for the Lady Bombers. She notes the bigger presence the sport has in U.S. schools compared to Spain.

Popiolek has not started playing sports yet, but plans to play softball in the spring.

During the school year, both students have found differences they enjoy about the school experience in Mountain Home.
