MHPS to discuss safety system for junior high and high schools Thursday night

The Mountain Home Public Schools Board of Education will meet Thursday night at 6 in the District Administration Building.Items on the agenda include:

– uppdates on the new high school smoke detectors and cafeteria tables;

– approval to purchase additional door lock replacements with additional funding that became available in the amount of $52,107;

– approval of an architect contract for the roof at Guy Berry;

– approval to purchase a weapons detection system for the high school and junior high campuses;

– approval to revise a personnel policy which would require employees wishing to establish a new stipend or revise an existing one by June 30; and

– approval two sell two tubas so the band program can purchase a single tuba to better fit their needs.
