Man killed, woman injured in 3-vehicle accident

A man was killed, and a woman was injured in a three-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Fulton County. Sixty-one-year-old David Hobbs of Ash Flat was pronounced dead, and 36-year-old Jamilia West of Ash Flat was transported to the White River Health Emergency Room in Cherokee Village.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Hobbs and West were both traveling on U.S. Highway 62/412. They were at Agnos when West’s SUV reportedly rear-ended Hobbs’ pickup truck. Hobbs’ truck traveled into the opposite and was struck by another pickup truck. The unidentified driver of the other truck was not injured.

The road was dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the 3:31 p.m. accident.
