Saturday basketball schedule includes MHHS in title games of Atlas Asphalt Basketball Tournament

High school basketball makes up the local Saturday schedule and includes the final day of the Atlas Asphalt Basketball Tournament in Mountain Home. Both of the host teams will compete in the championship games.
The Bomber boys, coming off their win over Greene County Tech, will take part in the first title game as they meet Farmington. Tip-off at Bomber Gymnasium is scheduled for 3:20.
Mountain Home’s girls, following their victory over Cabot, will play the final game of the tournament as they face North Little Rock. Gametime is set for 4:40.
Action at the Hangar begins with the fifth place games as the boys’ contest between Rector and Dumas gets underway at 10, and the Flippin girls take on Dumas at 11:20. The third place games will be next as Flippin’s boys play Greene County Tech at 12:40, and the Greers Ferry West Side girls will be paired with Cabot at 2.
The seventh place will be held in the morning at the junior high campus. The boys’ game between Cotter and Paragould tips off at 10, and Paragould’s girls meet Rector at 11:20.
Both Mountain Home games will be broadcast on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com and the Bomber Sports Network on YouTube.

The Yellville-Summit girls will continue action in the Bank OZK Classic at Ozark. The Lady Panthers will play their semifinal game at 3:20.

Three area teams will wrap up play in the CS Bank Holiday Hoops Tournament at Berryville. Viola’s girls will face Green Forest for seventh place at 10. Both Mountain View teams will play for the championship as their girls take on De Queen at 6, and their boys play Berryville at 7:20.

Two area boys’ teams will compete on the last day of the Hardwood Holiday Classic at Couch. Viola will be matched up with Lutie at 11:30, Lutie meets Koshkonong at 4, and Viola faces Couch at 5:30.

Bakersfield’s boys will wrap up action in the Winter Warrior Classic at St. Genevieve as they play for the championship. The Lions’ opponent will be Bunker.

The Gainesville Lady Bulldog Holiday Tournament will have its third day of competition on Saturday. The host team takes on Mansfield at 2.

Two area boys’ teams will continue in the Cabool Holiday Tournament. Gainesville plays Winona at noon, and Mammoth Spring will go up against Salem, Mo., at 3.

Two area girls’ teams will be at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro for their openers in the NEA Tournament. Izard County meets Buffalo Island Central in Division II at 4:30, and Salem faces Jonesboro Westside in Division I at 7:30.

The Lendel Thomas Classic will come to an end at Harrison. On the boys’ side, Salem takes on Earle for seventh place at 9:50, Bergman and Valley Springs will square off for third place at 4:10, and the host Goblins play Carthage, Mo., for the championship at 7. On the girls’ bracket, Harrison will be paired with Earle for third place at 2:50, and Bergman meets Branson for the title at 5:30.

Izard County’s boys will play for third place in the Poplar Bluff Showdown. The Cougars’ final opponent in the tournament will be Staley at 3:30.

The Dora girls will play their second game in the 12 Courts of Christmas at Kansas City. The Lady Falcons face Plattsburg at 12:45.

Three area girls’ teams will conclude action in the Lady Blackhawk Invitational at Pea Ridge. Mammoth Spring takes on Providence Academy for seventh place at 11:30, Valley Springs plays the host school for third place at 2:30, and Melbourne will be matched up with Arkadelphia for the title at 4.

Melbourne’s boys will compete for the Maverick Division championship of the Bad Boy Mowers Ronnie Brogdon Invitational at Highland. The Bearkatz meet Osceola at 5:30.

Five area teams will take part in the second day of the North Arkansas College High School Pioneer Classic at Harrison. Lead Hill faces Concord for a doubleheader starting with the girls at 2, Ozark Mountain takes on Clinton for a doubleheader at 4:40, and the Rural Special boys play Rogers at 7:20.
