The Greenwood School District is mourning the loss of another high school student. According to the district, Cadence Walters died from a car accident that occurred Thursday afternoon. Her sister, Chloe Walters, was also involved in the accident, remains in serious condition and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
The tragedy comes nearly two months after a residential fire resulted in three fatalities, including two Greenwood students, and a fourth person being hospitalized. The Greenwood High School football team later confirmed one of the students killed in the blaze was wide receiver Isaiah Arrington.
