Jason W. Beach (Platte County, Missouri, Detention Center)

A Missouri man faces multiple charges related to a series of thefts at Home Depot stores across several states, with a criminal history dating back several years.

Court records from Platte County, Missouri, filed on Friday, December 27, reveal that 51-year-old Jason W. Beach, from Elsberry, has been charged in connection to a string of thefts involving Home Depot locations nationwide.

According to a probable cause statement from the Kansas City Police Department, the theft in question took place on November 13, 2024. An off-duty officer was alerted to a theft that had occurred two days earlier at the Home Depot on 8900 NW Skyview Ave. in Kansas City. An asset protection employee reported that Beach had stolen nearly $300 worth of tools from the store. When approached by store personnel, Beach reportedly refused to return the stolen items and was subsequently arrested.

Investigators discovered that this wasn’t Beach’s first run-in with law enforcement. He had been arrested in late October for a separate theft at the Home Depot on 111 E. Linwood Blvd. in Kansas City. Additionally, Beach had been banned from multiple Home Depot locations in states including Oklahoma, Texas, California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Iowa, and Missouri due to previous theft incidents.

Court documents further show that Beach has a history of theft convictions, with prior convictions in Iowa (2024), California (2021), and Texas (2017).

As a result of his latest arrest, Beach has been charged with burglary and stealing. A warrant for his arrest was issued on Friday, with bond set at $25,000. Conditions of his release include no contact with any Home Depot stores and GPS monitoring.

As of Sunday, December 29, Beach remains in custody, and a court date has not yet been scheduled. Further details on the case have not been released.
