The Baxter County Farm Bureau Board and Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee have announced Hadleigh Baker as the December Agriculture Student of the Month.

Baker, the daughter of Josh and Laura Beth Baker, is an active member of the Mountain Home FFA Chapter, where she serves as Chapter Vice President. A dedicated leader, she is now in her third year in a leadership role within the chapter.

Baker has been a member of the Poultry Evaluation team for four years and has been involved in livestock showing for a decade. Her accomplishments include induction into the prestigious Arkansas State Fair Purple Circle Club for exhibiting the Grand Champion set of Broilers in 2022 and the Reserve Grand Champion set of Broilers in 2024.

She has also competed in the Agriculture Science Fair for four years and is a three-year member of the Parliamentary Procedure team.

One of Baker’s fondest memories is attending the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, a trip she has made four times. She says, “I’ve loved meeting other FFA members from all over the country and building relationships that will last a lifetime.”

This recognition is sponsored by the Baxter County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, the Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee, and Hirsch Feed & Farm Supply in Mountain Home. Baxter County Farm Bureau will continue honoring outstanding local agriculture students monthly throughout 2024.
