Harrison woman arrested in Mountain Home after throwing large rock at business window

A Harrison woman has been arrested for allegedly breaking the window of a Popeyes restaurant in Mountain Home. Twenty-four-year-old Rebecca Cross faces charges of felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

According to the probable cause affidavit, officers responded to a call on the morning of Dec. 16 reporting that a woman had thrown a large rock through a window at the restaurant. Witnesses described the suspect as wearing a red and white shirt and blue jeans. She reportedly attempted to enter several vehicles unsuccessfully before fleeing on foot toward Walmart.

Officers located Cross near the Walmart Automotive Department, where she was taken into custody and placed in a patrol car. Witness statements were obtained, and Cross was positively identified by the 911 caller, who remained on the scene.

Cross was transported to the Baxter County Detention Center and booked on a $5,000 bond. The damage to the Popeyes window is estimated at $3,500.
