A physical altercation last weekend in Henderson resulted in the arrest of two individuals. Thirty-year-old Shayla Blocker and 47-year-old Robby Smith are both facing a charge of third-degree domestic battery, and Blocker also faces a count of violation of a no-contact order.

According to the incident report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, 911 dispatch advised of the incident just after midnight Dec. 28 on County Road 142. Three deputies responded and made contact with Smith, who accused Blocker of hitting him on the face during an argument. A large knot on Smith’s head, minor scratches and a quarter-sized abrasion on his left arm were reportedly visible. Smith also alleged Blocker threatened to kill him as she was striking him.

One of the deputies later made conatct with Blocker, who confirmed the argument but claimed Smith hit her, breaking her dental partial. Blocker’s face and nose were reportedly swollen.

Smith and Blocker both admitted to have been drinking. They denied medical attention and were transported to the detention center without incident.
