Authorities in Missouri had to rescue a monkey wandering around in a pink tutu on Friday. The spider monkey was later returned to its caretaker without injury.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area of Missouri Highway 21 and Missouri Route M and discovered the monkey in the tutu. Following careful negotiations and some coaxing, deputies were reportedly able to get close enough to go “hands on” with the subject and bring the situation under control.
This spider monkey was staying at a nearby residence when it reportedly managed to open a door and leave the home.
