The Twin Lakes Area started having rain late Saturday night. That will continue through the day, but by Sunday evening, it may turn into a wintry mix.

A winter weather advisory will be in effect for Baxter, Marion, Fulton, Izard and Stone counties in north central Arkansas at 6 Sunday evening, and another is currently in effect for Ozark and Taney counties in southern Missouri. In addition, an ice storm warning is in effect for Howell and Douglas counties in southern Missouri. All of those advisories and warnings will expire at 6 Monday morning.

Meteorologist Colby Pope from the National Weather Service office in North Little Rock says the rain may start changing in the early evening due to dropping temperatures.

Pope says even with light accumulations expected, the colder air could make for hazardous driving conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses.
