A man from Lawrence County had an eventful day last Thursday in Fulton County when he allegedly stole a car, fled from deputies, stole cash while he was hiding in a home while law enforcement searched for him and then refused to give up after he was flushed from the house and had to be forcibly taken into custody. Thirty-eight-year-old Levi Hardy Bradley of Imboden is facing two felony charges for the days events.According to information from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a residence in the Glencoe/Agnos area on U.S. Highway 62/412. The homeowner told the sheriffs office someone had parked a vehicle behind his house and started walking into the woods.
When the deputy arrived, he contacted Bradley who pushed the deputy away and took off running. The deputy learned the vehicle had been stolen earlier that morning in Mammoth Spring.
The dog tracking team from the Arkansas Department of Corrections North Central Unit at Calico Rock was brought in to help locate Bradley. They tracked him to a residence and as deputies made entry, Bradley ran out the back door and into a field. He was surrounded by law enforcement officers from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Salem Police Department and Department of Corrections but refused to surrender and had to be forcibly taken into custody.
A short time after Bradley was taken into custody, the homeowner where Bradley had hidden reported $1,500 was missing from her son’s wallet that was inside the house. The cash was recovered from Bradley.
Bradley is facing felony charges of residential burglary and theft of property. He is being held in the Fulton County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
