Driving on the roadways in the Twin Lakes Area has been a tough task Friday. Baxter County Judge Kevin Litty crews are out trying to get the roads cleared as much as possible.

Just before noon, IDriveArkansas.com showed U.S. Highway 62/412 was snow-covered from Pyatt and further east through Baxter and Fulton counties, and it was slush-covered west of Pyatt. Arkansas Highway 5 was snow-covered from Mountain Home and further south through Izard and Stone counties, Arkansas Highway 9 was covered in snow from Salem to Melbourne, and Arkansas Highway 69 was snow-covered for its entire Izard County run. U.S. Highway 65 was covered in snow from St. Joe and continuing further south. All of the major highways in Boone County were slush-covered, and Arkansas Highway 7 was snow-covered for its entire run through Newton County.
The Missouri Department of Transportation’s traveler information map shows most of the area highways in the Show-Me State are covered in snow.
