A devoted homemaker, Carlotta found joy in the simple pleasures: spending cherished time with her family, playing cards, and living by the values she upheld as a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, carried forward by her daughters, Vonda Blanchard and Tina Hill (Scott); six grandchildren: Jennifer McCoy (Chris), Jamie Sisk (Amanda), Jerrod Sisk (Kennlyn), LaRea Miller (Jeff), Dustin Blanchard (Marlene), and Adam England (Carlie); seventeen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Sid Pickens (Karen); sisters, Lou Ayala (Joe) and Linda Huett (Bob); sister-in-law, Kay Pickens; and her special lifelong friend, Bobby Sanders. Her nieces, nephews, and extended family were also deeply loved and treasured.
Carlotta was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Devon Blanchard; her parents; her daughter, Carla Unger; her son-in-law, Dale Unger; her brother, J.C. Pickens; and her sister, Jetha Black.
Known for her warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering faith, Carlotta’s presence was a blessing to all who knew her. Her love was the glue that held her family together, and her memory will continue to inspire and guide them.
