Mountain Home senior Caleb Due made history Thursday at the GCT Invitational in Paragould, breaking an 18-year-old school record in the 50-yard freestyle with a blazing time of 22.62 seconds. His performance surpassed Jake Eickman’s 2007 mark of 22.76 and energized the Bombers’ strong showing at the meet.
The boys’ swim team secured second place overall out of seven schools, while the girls’ team battled to finish fourth. Peeka Traver impressed with time drops in two events, while Zoe Casey, Kristen Lawson, Campbell Wendfelt, and Christian Belicek delivered standout improvements.
Mountain Home will look to build on its momentum at Saturday’s meet in Batesville.
