Charitable programs in the Twin Lakes Area have an opportunity to expand their impact through Giving Tree grants, offered by the Twin Lakes Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Arkansas Community Foundation. Applications for the grants will be accepted through February 15.

Grant amounts typically range from $500 to $2,000, and requests for various types of projects are welcome. While priority is given to organizations based in Baxter, Marion, Fulton, and Izard Counties, applications from groups in other areas will be considered if they demonstrate direct service to these counties.

Kimberly Jones, executive director of the Twin Lakes Community Foundation, highlighted the program’s impact and says, “Since our affiliate was formed in 2002, we’ve awarded over $5.4 million in grants to benefit the Twin Lakes Area. It’s a pleasure to strengthen our community by supporting important causes like education, food security, and community development.”

Heather Larkin, president and CEO of the Arkansas Community Foundation, emphasized the significance of local support and says “Funding for the Giving Tree program comes from thousands of Arkansas donors who want to make a difference in their communities. These grants are selected by local leaders and awarded to organizations that are implementing innovative ideas to improve their areas.”

The Arkansas Community Foundation, a statewide nonprofit, works to build stronger communities by connecting donors, professional advisors, and nonprofits. As the largest grantmaker in Arkansas by the number of grants awarded annually, the foundation has provided more than $439 million in funding since its inception in 1976. Through a 29-affiliate network and statewide initiatives, the organization addresses local needs and strengthens communities through strategic philanthropy.
