Pine Bluff police investigate death of 18-year-old as homicide

Police in Pine Bluff are investigating a death as a homicide following initial reports of a suicide on Tuesday night.

The Pine Bluff Police Department responded to a call just before midnight on West Jones Street, where they found 18-year-old Patrick Coleman Jr. deceased at the scene. Authorities initially received information suggesting a suicide, but upon further investigation, they discovered several individuals had been present with Coleman at the time of the shooting. However, those individuals had left the scene before officers arrived.

Some of the people present during the incident have since been located and are being questioned by detectives. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are treating the case as a homicide until evidence suggests otherwise.
