Tuesday basketball results include Flippin winning 3 of 4 games at Yellville-Summit

Flippin was able to come away with three wins as they played four basketball games Tuesday at Yellville-Summit.
The Bobcats won the senior boys’ game over the Panthers 52-44. Rilyn Robbins was Flippin’s top scorer with 18 points, and Aidan Hodges chipped in 10. The Bobcats improve to 22-6 on the season and 6-2 in the 3A-2.
Flippin also held off a Yellville-Summit comeback in the senior girls’ contest. The Lady Bobcats got past the Lady Panthers 53-47.
The evening began with Flippin winning the junior girls’ game over Yellville-Summit 29-26. Flippin’s only loss was in the junior boys’ game as they fell to Yellville-Summit 54-42.

Gainesville’s boys had a rough night on the road. The Bulldogs lost to Willow Springs 70-45.

The Salem High School teams were able to pick up a sweep over Valley Springs. The Lady Greyhounds got past the Lady Tigers 47-44. Salem also took the boys’ game over Valley Springs 48-46.

Izard County went to Imboden and won three of four games over Sloan-Hendrix.
The Cougars captured the senior boys’ game over the Greyhounds 49-45. Kasen Black paced Izard County with 17 points, and Cash Arnhart and Gabe Spray each scored 13. The Cougars improve to 16-9 on the year and 8-1 in the 2A-2.
Izard County also won the senior girls’ game over Sloan-Hendrix 68-53, moving the two teams in a tie for the conference lead. The Lady Cougars were led by Quinn Johnson with 30 points, Olivia Spray provided 18, and Tinlee Bailey recorded 13. Izard County is now 16-4 overall and 8-1 in the league.
The junior girls’ game ended with Izard County beating Sloan-Hendrix 48-35. Hadleigh Herron was the Junior Lady Cougars’ leading scorer with 21 points, and Kallie Skidmore finished with 19. Izard County is 13-2 on the season and 8-1 in conference play.
Izard County’s only loss was in the junior boys’ game as Sloan-Hendrix posted the 37-30 win. Benaiah Spray led the Junior Cougars with 12 points, and Brody Cottrell ended up with 11. Izard County falls to 9-6 on the year and 5-4 in the 2A-2.

Mammoth Spring split four games with Cedar Ridge at Newark. The Lady Bears took the senior girls’ game over the Lady Timberwolves 52-48. Mammoth Spring did not fare as well in the senior boys’ contest as they fell to Cedar Ridge 71-44. The junior girls’ game concluded with Mammoth Spring beating Cedar Ridge 35-16. Mammoth Spring lost the junior boys’ game 43-18.

The Melbourne High School teams were swept at Bergman. The Bearkatz were edged out by the Panthers 64-63 in the boys’ game. Melbourne also lost the girls’ contest to Bergman 69-64.

Marshall was swept at home in its high school games by Tuckerman. The Bobcats fell in the boys’ game to the Bulldogs 41-39. Marshall’s girls also lost to Tuckerman 50-43.

The Mountain View High School teams had mixed results in their games with Cave City. The Lady Yellowjackets invoked the mercy rule as they routed the Cavewomen 59-22. Mountain View was not as fortunate in the boys’ game as they fell to Cave City 36-31.

Rural Special picked up a sweep its high school games against Concord. The Lady Rebels put the mercy rule in effect as they pounded the Lady Pirates 59-29. Rural Special’s boys followed with a 52-38 victory over Concord.

Lead Hill was able to sweep its boys’ games over the School for Advanced Studies.
The Tigers dominated the senior high game over the Hellbenders 73-18. Lead Hill was led by Coda Lemon 15 points and 10 rebounds, Noah Royce scored 13, Dawson Lively had 12, and Nolan Turner added 10 points.
The night started with Lead Hill’s junior boys breezing past the School for Advanced Studies 46-10. Jacob Francis was the Junior Tigers’ top scorer with 11 points.

Omaha’s boys suffered a conference loss on the road. The Eagles went to Rogers and fell to Founders Classical Academy 70-50.

Ozark Mountain was able to sweep its high school games over Life Way Christian at Western Grove. The mercy rule was needed in the boys’ game as the Bears doubled up the Warriors 62-31. Ozark Mountain also won the girls’ contest over Life Way Christian 70-46.
