
The 2025 Arkansas legislative session is off to a swift start, with several bills already advancing to committee hearings and floor debates.
District 3 Representative Stetson Painter told KTLO, Classic Hits, and The Boot News that bills are progressing through the committee process, with some set to be presented on the floor this week.

Painter said he worked with Prosecuting Attorney David Ethredge on a bill aimed at helping his office in the 14th Judicial District, as well as two others in the state, transition to full-time prosecuting attorney offices.

Painter stated that the bill is intended to help address the backlog of cases stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.
