The Mountain Home Christian Academy will be closed Wednesday and Thursday this week due to widespread illness.
According to a Facebook post, MHCA Administrator Doyne Byrd says they hope with the five consecutive days off, they will provide enough time to break the cycle of sickness and allow everyone to recover. Byrd stated the illness was affecting over 37% of the student body plus several staff members.
Byrd also says the school is currently two days ahead in their schedule with the built-in snow days, so there will be no need to make up the missed days at this time.
