Baxter Co. Quorum Court to hear introductions of candidates for Airport Advisory Board Tuesday night

The Baxter County Quorum Court will meet in regular session Tuesday night at 5:30 in the 2nd floor courtroom of the Baxter County Courthouse.

Items on the agenda include:

– a second reading of an ordinance to establish a 911 Advisory Board;

– an ordinance to appropriate fees and reimbursements in the amount of $8,424 received in December to the 2025 Sheriff’s Office budget;

– an ordinance to appropriate $54,000 from the special jail fees fund and $10,000 from the detention facility fund into the jail maintenance and operations fund;

– an ordinance to appropriate $15,000 into the Galatia Community Building Arkansas Rural Community Grant fund;

– an ordinance to amend the 2025 budget to provide revenues and appropriations to the airport fund;

– an ordinance to allow Baxter County to conduct business with General Water Conditioning, owned by Lisa House;

– a resolution to confirm the appointment of Scott Tavegia to the Baxter County Library Board;

– a resolution to confirm the appointment of Colby Pickens to the Baxter County Planning Board;

– a resolution to confirm the re-appointment of Lindley Reuben and Gary Smith to the Grover Township Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners; and

– a resolution to confirm the re-appointment of Tom Telford and Jim Jestadt to the Northeast Lakeside Fire Department Board of Commissioners.

Prior the meeting, the Court will hear presentations from community member Hap Myers and introductions from candidates interested in serving on the Airport Advisory Board.
