A Mountain Home woman has been arrested for stealing and using a debit card from a man she was a caregiver for. Facing two felony charges in the case is 54-year-old Tina Bernadette Sineno.

According to the probable cause affidavit from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, the victim reported two of his debit cards were taken and used without his permission and $300 cash was missing.

The victim first noticed a problem in early October when he tried to pay for a purchase at a local store with one of the cards and it was declined. He went to his bank, got a new debit card and deactivated the old card.

A few days later, the man had left his new card in his wallet, which also contained the cash, unattended on his kitchen table. He later discovered the card and cash were missing. He checked with his bank and found out six charges had been made to his account totaling nearly $1,300.

The investigation revealed Sineno used the victim’s card to make three purchases from walmart.com in which her email address and phone number were used. Three other transactions were made at locations believed to be in Branson. All of the transactions were made during the time Sineno had possession of the victim’s card.

Sineno is facing felony counts of exploitation of a vulnerable person and theft of property. Her bond is set at $10,000.
