MH City Council to Discuss Budget, Fire Code, and Equipment Purchases Thursday

The Mountain Home City Council will meet in regular session Thursday evening at 5 in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building.

Agenda items include adopting committee assignments, approving the disposal of a 1998 Case excavator, and appointing Noah Strout to the city’s Advertising and Promotion Commission.

The council will also consider an ordinance amending the fire prevention code to enhance safety measures, a resolution waiving competitive bidding for the fire department’s purchase of a 2025 Dodge 2500 pickup and a 2025 Dodge Durango all-wheel drive, and a resolution amending the city’s budget.

Other items include budget adjustments for 2025 donation and public safety accounts, establishing a $5,000 capitalization threshold for single fixed-asset purchases, setting a policy for selling or exchanging supplies, materials, or equipment valued under $10,000, and authorizing equipment or material purchases up to $42,500 without competitive bidding.
