A Mountain Home man was one of three killed, and a Gamaliel man was one of five injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning north of Jonesboro. Fifty-eight-year-old John Lewis of Mountain Home, 63-year-old David Vanwinkle of Winona, Mo., and 62-year-old Timothy Foote of West Burlington, Iowa, were pronounced dead. Thirty-four-year-old Garrett Sorrell of Gamaliel, 44-year-old Donald Williams of Maynard, 29-year-old David Reading Jr. of St. Louis, 35-year-old Robert Harris of Greentop, Mo., and 35-year-old Jimmy McMullen of Collinsville, Okla., were all transported to Jonesboro hospitals.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Lewis was traveling toward Jonesboro on U.S. Highway 63.
