
The Baxter County 4-H is shining some light on an often overlooked part of a good meal. The Extension Office is accepting spice packets for its “Spice Up Our Local Food Pantries” spice drive.
Amanda Rychtarik, the organizer of the effort, says spices are often missing from food pantries.

All spices of any brand will be gratefully accepted, but there are a few spices in high demand according to Rychtarik.

Rychtarik says she came up with this idea as an inexpensive way for children to get involved in community service.

Spice packets can be brought to the Baxter County Extension Office at 3 East 9th St. and can be dropped off in the donation box in the foyer from 8 to 12 or from 1 to 4:30.
