Salem’s football team had a historic season, winning their first state championship in program history. A big part of their success came from star linebacker, Skyler Payne. Payne is the winner of the Farm Bureau award for Class 3A defensive player of the year, was an all-state selection, and was selected for the all-star roster by Arkansas High School Coaches Association.
When asked about how it felt to make school history, Payne says it felt like a dream.
