
Saturday will mark the third consecutive day of record lows in the Twin Lakes Area. The lowest temperature recorded for Feb. 22 was 6 degrees, breaking the day’s previous mark of 9 in 1978.
At KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting station for the National Weather Service in Mountain Home, observations are recorded at 7 each morning for the past 24 hours. The temperature was 6 at 7 Friday morning, and that was the lowest reading on the station’s thermometer over the next 24-hour period.
The low recorded the previous two days was -2. The previous record for Feb. 20 was 9 degrees set 10 years ago in 2015, and the mark for Feb. 21 was 6 in 1963.
