
Representatives of the Twin Lakes Area have been in Bentonville as the Arkansas Governor’s Conference on Tourism presented by Oaklawn was combined with the Arkansas Outdoor Economy Summit this year. Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce President and Chief Executive Officer Dani Pugsley is among at the event put together by the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism.
Pugsley says the majority of Monday was spent on discussions about workforce development in the outdoor recreation space.

Pugsley says when Bass Cat Boats President Rick Pierce spoke during the summit, one of the matters he discussed was the longevity of the company. He said stressed the importance of manufacturers similar to Bass Cat and their continued growth in the area.
When it comes to the tourism in the Natural State, Pugsley says it’s probably still not as big as agriculture, but it remains among the top as a multi-billion dollar industry.
