Norfork School Board hires Blevins as interim superintendent, extends prinicipals’ contracts

The Norfork School Board named a new leader to take the helm for the remainder of the school year. During the regular session on Thursday, Richard Blevins was selected as the new interim superintendent of the district. Blevins will begin his duties Monday and remain in the position through June 30.

The board also extended the contracts of both of its principals. Norfork High School Principal Jason Williams and Arrie Goforth Elementary Principal Stacey Bradbury will remain with the district through the 2025-2026 school year.

During Thursday’s meeting, it was announced the district was recognized by the University of Arkansas’ Office for Education Policy. Arrie Goforth Elementary was ranked fifth in the Northwest Region for Growth in English Language Arts. Norfork High School was ninth among Arkansas’ high schools based on ATLAS Math Growth and 20th in Overall ATLAS Growth.
