A Paragould woman was arrested after allegedly striking a child in the face with a belt buckle, authorities said.
Police responded to a call on Monday, March 3, about the welfare of a child and arrived to find the 4-year-old with visible injuries to their face. Further examination revealed additional injuries to the child’s head, sides, and back, according to court documents.
The woman, identified as Haily Russell, was taken into custody on suspicion of second-degree domestic battery. She is being held at the Greene County Detention Center without bond and is awaiting her first court appearance.
