U.S. Senator for Arkansas John Boozman (R-AR) expressed his support for President Donald Trump’s policy agenda following the president’s address to a joint session of Congress.
In a statement released after the speech, Boozman highlighted the administration’s efforts to fulfill campaign promises.
“The American people voted to take our country in a different direction last November, and the Trump administration and Republican Congress are working to deliver just that real border security and immigration enforcement, economic policies that lower taxes and incentivize domestic investment, unleashing American energy, and more,” Boozman said. “The president continues to make a passionate case for his policies to make our nation more prosperous, peaceful and free.”
Boozman, who serves as Chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee, emphasized his commitment to rural communities and the agricultural sector.
“Championing our rural communities and the farmers, ranchers and foresters who sustain them remains my top priority as Chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee, and I look forward to working together closely to support their needs and pass a farm bill,” he added.
Trump’s speech focused on his administration’s priorities, including immigration reform, economic growth, and national security. Republican lawmakers, including Boozman, have largely rallied behind the president’s agenda as they work to advance key legislative initiatives in Congress.
