Storms, high winds contributing to power outages Wednesday AM

High winds following storms Tuesday night into early Wednesday are contributing to select power outages across the Twin Lakes area.As of 5 Wednesday morning North Arkansas Electric Coop are showing approximately 220 members without power. Entergy Arkansas is showing over 794 outages across North Central Arkansas.

Entergy Arkansas gave the following statement on their outage map at Entergy.com, “A thunderstorm has moved through the area causing numerous outages. Our crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible. The estimated time of restoration could change as all damage assessments are completed or if new thunderstorms move into the area.”

High winds are forecasted throughout the day with a wind advisory from the National Weather Service in place until 6 this evening. Sustained winds of 20-30 mph are expected with gusts upward of 45 mph.
