Grass fire turned structure fire reported near Midway

Multiple fire departments responded to a report of a grass fire that turned into a structure fire Tuesday afternoon. Baxter County 911 dispatch stated the fire occurred in the Midway area.

There were reports of the Midway Fire Department being assisted by the Grover Township and Cotter Gassville Rural fire departments. The fire reportedly occurred just west of Midway on Shasta Trail. It is unknown if there were any injuries from the blaze. There were reports of the fire rekindling Tuesday night, but as of Wednesday morning, dispatch says it should be under control.

There was another report of Grover Township responding to a grass fire under an electrical pole along Arkansas Highway 178.
