Zachary Guiltner appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday (March 10) to face charges in five open felony cases.
The 39-year-old Guiltner pled guilty to those charges and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The open cases on Guiltner contain charges which were mainly picked up during a series of traffic stops.
August 2020 — Guiltner’s vehicle was pulled over for not having a valid license plate. Officers also found a shoe polish tin with a magnet attached to the back hidden under the dash. It contained a white residue field-testing positive for methamphetamine. In addition, Guiltner was shown to be a parole absconder and had an outstanding warrant at the time of the stop.
January 2023 – Guiltner was arrested after drugs were found in a house in which he was living. During a compliance visit, officers located a dried psilocybin mushroom, a white crystalline residue testing positive for methamphetamine, a small quantity of marijuana, numerous plastic bags commonly used to dispense methamphetamine, syringes and a set of digital scales.
August 2023 – A Ford Mustang driven by Guiltner was pulled over after a Mountain Home police officer noticed Guiltner was driving even though he had a suspended license. At one point, as the officer followed Guiltner, he threw an object out of window of the vehicle and the officer initiated the stop. When questioned about the item he had thrown out of the window, Guiltner said it was a cigarette package. Another officer searched the area when the object landed and found a black bike handlebar with a clear baggie found to contain almost 30 grams of a substance field-testing positive for methamphetamine.
October 2023 – A car driven by Guiltner was pulled over by a Mountain Home police officer for having an expired license plate. Officers found about 1.7 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle.
May 2024 – Guiltner was stopped after a Baxter County sheriff’s deputy saw him throw an object off the motorcycle he was driving. The deputy requested a Mountain Home Police Department drug dog respond to the scene to help locate the object Guiltner was suspected to tossing.
The K-9 found a black bag containing 6.2 grams of methamphetamine, five Xanax bars and a pill suspected of containing Fentynal. When informed that his property was to be forfeited, he is alleged to have responded, “you can’t seize my bike over just a little bit of dope.” The license plate on the motorcycle was also confirmed to be fictitious.
December 2024 – Mountain Home police officers went to a residence to serve warrants. The house was being monitored by a drone and Guiltner was seen fleeing on foot.
An officer identified Guiltner as he approached the intersection of Bryant and East 6th Street.
When the emergency lights on the patrol car were activated and the officer got out of the vehicle and started toward Guiltner, the suspect took off running again.
He ran into one backyard and then tried to enter another. A Taser was used but the first cartridges deployed had no effect on Guiltner.
A third cartridge was fired and Guiltner fell to the ground. He was cuffed and taken to a patrol car to be driven to the detention center.
He was found to be in possession of almost three grams of methamphetamine.
