Mills boys come from behind to beat Morrilton, win Class 4A state championship

Morrilton led for most of the Class 4A boys’ state championship game Friday at Bank OZK Arena, but once Mills took the advantage in the final period, they would not relinquish it. The Comets got past the Devil Dogs by a final of 56-51.

Zaylin Rowland was named the most valuable player of the game as he scored 10 points for Mills. The Comets were led by Marshall Walls with 19 points, and Anthony Hester chipped in 13. Isaiah Templeton finished with 19 points for Morrilton, Ty Wright ended up with 12, and Zay Hill added 10.

Mills wraps up the year at 35-1. The Devil Dogs fall to 25-9.
