The Bryant boys’ basketball team was able to capture its first state championship since 1981. The Hornets won the Class 6A title game by a final of 69-59 over Springdale.
The MVP award went to Kellen Robinson as he paced Bryant with 25 points, Camarion Bead scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and RJ Young chipped in 14 points. For the Bulldogs, Derrick Hudson recorded 18 points and 11 boards, Jaxon Conley provided 18 points, and Isaiah Sealy finished with 16 points.
The Hornets’ season ends with a record of 30-3. Springdale falls to 29-4.
