A burn ban has been issued Wednesday morning for Baxter County, effective immediately.
All outdoor burning is prohibited at present in unincorporated areas. Violations may incur a fine of $500 to $1000 for each offense.
Burn bans are also in effect for Marion, Fulton, Izard, Boone, Newton, Searcy and Stone counties.
