A grass fire is burning near Interstate 57 in Jackson County Wednesday afternoon, with smoke visible near the Possum Grape exit, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation cameras.
The cause of the fire has not been disclosed by officials.
This fire follows a recent wildfire in Pulaski County that scorched more than 2,000 acres, though that blaze has since been contained.
Due to strong winds gusting over 40 mph, a Wind Advisory is in effect for Arkansas until 7 p.m. A Red Flag Warning has also been issued, urging counties to refrain from outdoor burning to help prevent further fires.
Arkansas State Police are currently on the scene.
