Over 16,000 members of North Arkansas Electric Cooperative in Baxter and Marion counties are without power due to an issue from outside of the service area. Just before midnight Wednesday, the cooperative is reporting 15,713 outages in Baxter County and 811 in Marion County.
According to NAEC’s Facebook, a transmission line issue appearing to be from outside of cooperative’s service area has affected service to the majority of its substations in the Mountain Home district. Engineers are responding.
No estimated time of restoration was given with the update.
