As of Thursday morning, the wild brush fires in Douglas County have been contained.
Scott Moore with the Ava Fire Department says the fires have been contained and the focus for Thursday will be going to check on various hot spots and fire lines to make sure nothing spreads.
Moore says local crews are available and on stand-by in case more fires pop up. On Wednesday crews from Greene, Christian, Lawrence and Taney counties assisted in battling the blaze.
